Mid term Environmental Goals

1. To take counter measure to prevent air pollution

2. To reduce the volume of specified toxic substances.

	3. To save energy
		Reducing Electricity Consumption by at least 10% by Feb. 2003, compared with 1997. Example: To put off the power while Personal Computers are not in use, to control the room temperature to reduce the consumption of power of air conditioner, to employ energy saving devices(equipment) such as inverters to air conditioning systems and energy saving fluorescent lighting.

	4.To reduce volume of wastes
		Reducing volume of wastes by at least 55% by Feb. 2003, compared with 1997.

	5. To make progress of recycling rate of exhausted materials
		Achieving 90% of recycling rate by Feb. 2003

	6.To reduce total volume of exhausted materials
		Reducing volume of exhausted materials by at least 30% by Feb. 2003, compared with 1999.

	7. Products assessment
		Conduct environmental impact assessments prior to products development/design. Minimize products' impact on the environment by promoting energy/resource conservation & recyling.
